Maria Levy, (México City, Mexico,) is an emerging artist exploring the female form and the boundaries of the role of the nude by using the medium of photography. She incorporates self-portraiture into her work and when turning her camera on others, employs the contemporary “body positive” gaze that is not only life affirming but unabashedly feminist. Levy uses several social media platforms to explore her practice as a living artwork, pushing the limitations of how we consume the body thereby raising the question of how we see ourselves.
